Shounak Abhisheki
Shri Shounak Abhisheki is the son and disciple of the legendary classical musician and composer; Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki, and is himself a leading vocalist. He has a beautiful combination of Agra and Jaipur styles in his music.

Shounak’s performance comprises not only of classical music but also other aspects of music like Tappa, Thumri, Hindi and Marathi Bhajans, Natyasangeet etc. He also performs special programs like “Swarabhishek”, “Tulsi-Ke Ram”, etc based on his father’s compositions. Apart from his skillful mastery over the technicalities of music, Shounak’s aesthetic approach towards the lyrical content and his keen sensitivity towards the emotive aspects of a composition, gives his performance a universal appeal.

Following his father’s footsteps, Shounak has tried to blend technical virtuosity and emotional appeal in his ‘gayaki’. He has carried forward his father’s musical legacy, giving it a new dimension.
